    This six-day program is designed for people who either work in the dental profession or who are new to the profession and would like to establish a career as an Office Assistant/Floater or as a Jr office administrative assistant in the dental office. The overall objective of this course is to provide individuals with foundational skills, including a comprehensive clinical component as well as front desk administrative and patient care expertise.

About Linda

I started my dental career after graduating from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) Dental Assisting program over 30 years ago. During the early years of my career, I was fortunate to work with dentists that valued comprehensive team training through programs that focused on the fundamental systems that created a positive and productive team environment. As a dental assistant, I learned firsthand how dental care changes people’s lives. I have cried tears alongside patients whose smiles have been transformed by their dental care and have helped ease patients’ anxiety through my unique sense of humour.

After 12 years of working as a CDA, I transitioned to dental administration. My keen interest in setting up systems and protocols to maintain the business side of the practice running smoothly and efficiently became a passion. From exceptional telephone skills, ideal day scheduling, heart-centred patient experiences, and elevating team communication, my enthusiasm for Dentistry has never wavered.

Although I am uncomfortable with the title of “Office Manger”, transitioning into a Leadership role has given me the opportunity to work with dental team as a whole in developing cooperative and supportive team cultures working towards being the best that they can be.
